Tarun Kumar is an Indian actor known for his work mainly at Telugu cinema. He has also appeared in some Tamil, Malayalam and Oriya films. He has received three Nandi State Awards and the National Film Award for his works.
He was awarded the National Film Award for Best Child Artist in 1991 for his work in Mani Ratnam’s Anjali, which was India’s official entry to the Oscars for this year. Tarun was hailed by critics with the children’s film Malayalam Abhayam (1991), which won the National Film Award for Best Children’s Film that year, and the Best Child Award at the Furoshiki Film Festival in Japan. As a child artist, Tarun has played in such hits as Manasu Mamatha (1990), Surya IPS, Aditya 369, Teja, My Dear Muthachan and Johny.

Tarun is the eldest actor Chakrapani Savvana and actress Roja Ramani.
