Shweta Menon was born April 23, 1974, is an Indian model, actress, and television presenter. She won the Miss India Asia Pacific Femina Prize in 1994. She has mainly performed in Malayalam and Hindi films, as well as appearing in several Tamil productions.
Menon hails from Valanchery in Kerala’s Malappuram district, but was born in Chandigarh to Malayalan parents Naranankutty and Sarada Menon. His father served in the Indian Air Force while his mother remained a housewife. She studied at Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1, East Hill, Kozhikode. The actor Anoop Menon is his cousin.
She was married to Bollywood model Bobby Bhonsle, but found herself divorced. On June 18, 2011, she married Sreevalsan Menon, from Thrissur, who works in Mumbai. The ceremony took place at Neythalappurath Sastha Ayappa Temple, Valanchery, Kerala. She had her first child, a daughter, Sabaina Menon, on September 27, 2012 at 5:27 pm at Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai. The delivery was recorded on the camera as part of the movie Kalimannu.
She began her career as an actress in feature films in Malayalam in the early 1990s. She ventured into modeling and was recognized, having participated in and won several beauty pageants, which led to her debut in Bollywood. This is the movie Ishq (1997 film) where she aroused special attention as a sensual dancer of the song “Humko Tumse Pyaar Hai” starring Aamir Khan and Ajay Devgan as well as in Bandhan.
