Madhu Shalini is an Indian actress and model, who works primarily in the Telugu film industry, but has also appeared in Kannada, Hindi and Tamil films. She has also worked as a television presenter.
Madhu Shalini was born in Hyderabad, Telangana. His father, Hameed, is a businessman and his mother, Polapragada Raj Kumari, is a lawyer and a classical dancer. Like her mother, she also learned Kuchipudi, before taking part in a beauty contest she won which allowed her to embark on a modeling career.
After working as a television presenter for a short while, she quickly ventured into the world of film by transforming an actress.
She made her film debut with E. V. V. Satyanarayana’s Kithakithalu alongside Allari Naresh, released in 2006, which was a resounding success. The same year, she appeared in two other Telugu films, namely Oka V Chitram of Teja as part of a set and Aganthakudu. In 2007, she starred in the comedy action Telugu State Rowdy, a remake of the success of the director Tamil K. S. Ravikumar, Aethiree, with Madhu Shalini playing the character of a Brahmin girl, played by Kanika. She made her Tamil cinema debut later that year with the feature film Pazhaniappa Kalloori.
