Vishnu Manchu is an Indian actor, producer and director known for his works in film and television in Telugu.
He had a brief stint as a child artist with the 1985 film Ragile Gundelu. Years later, he played in the 2003 Telugu Action Movie Vishnu, for which he won the Best Male Debut Filmfare Award.
He is co-owner of the 24 Frames Factory film production company and is an educator with Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Trust, founded by his father and Telugu veteran actor, Mohan Babu. He is founder and president of the New York Academy, a progressive American international school in Hyderabad, led by his wife, Viranica Manchu, and his father, actor Mohan Babu, who is the president. He is also president of Spring Board Academy and Spring Board International Preschools, which has more than 75 branches in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
Vishnu Vardhan Manchu was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, to veteran actor Mohan Babu and his mother, the late Vidya Devi. He grew up with his brother Manchu Manoj and his sister Manchu Lakshmi.
After completing his studies at Padmaseshadri Balabhavan School, Vishnu Manchu then obtained an engineering degree from Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College, with a specialization in Computer Science and Information Technology. During this time, he represented the Bhaskar JNTU cricket team and was also captain of the university basketball team.
In 2009, Manchu married Viranica Reddy, niece of the late Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, then chief minister of Andhra Pradesh. In 2011, they had two twin girls. In January 2018, they had a son and in August 2019, they had a daughter
