Isha Talwar is an Indian film actress who works mainly in Malayalam cinema. She started as a model and appeared in various commercials, then made her film debut with the 2012 Malayalam movie Thattathin Marayathu.
Isha Talwar was born into a Punjabi family. She is the daughter of Vinod Talwar, who works as a director and executive producer for Boney Kapoor in Bollywood. Born and raised in Mumbai, she graduated from St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai. She joined choreographer Terence Lewis’s dance school in 2004, where she learned various forms of dance such as ballet, jazz, hip-hop and salsa, before becoming a tutor at the dance studio. She said Lewis was “a person who changed me completely”.
Talwar worked as a model and appeared in more than 40 commercials for brands such as Pizza Hut, Viva Fairness Cream, Kaya Skin Clinic, Dulux Paints and Dhatri Fairness Cream, plus a video clip with Hrithik Roshan for the Just Contest Dance. She says she spent two years preparing for her film debut. Although she worked as a children’s actress in Bollywood 2000 film Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai, she made her debut in a feature film with Malayalam movie Thattathin Marayathu.
