Karenjit Kaur Vohra, born 13 May 1981, known by her stage name Sunny Leone, is a Canadian-born Indo-American actress and model currently active in the Indian film industry. She is a former porn star. She has an American citizenship. She also used the stage name Karen Malhotra. Named Penthouse Pet of the Year in 2003, she was contracted for Vivid Entertainment and was named by Maxim as one of the 12 best porn stars in 2010.
Sunny Leone was born in Sarnia, Ontario to Punjabi Sikh parents. His father was born in Tibet and grew up in Delhi, while his mother (deceased in 2008) was from Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh. As a young girl, she was a self-taught, athletic boy who played street hockey with boys.
Although the family is Sikh, her parents enrolled her in the Catholic school, because it seemed dangerous to her to go to public school. At the age of 13, his family moved to Fort Gratiot, Michigan, and then to Lake Forest, California, a year later, realizing his grandparents’ dream of family being together in one place. She had her first kiss at 11, lost her virginity at 16 with a basketball player and discovered her bisexuality at 18.

In addition to her acting career, she has participated in activism campaigns, including the Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon in Los Angeles, to raise funds for the American Cancer Society and has also participated in a PETA advertising campaign.
